“Despite its reputation, team building is one of the most important investments you can make for your people, it builds trust, mitigates conflict, encourages communication, and increases collaboration”

We recognise the importance of team building at Fuell – especially when based across different locations, and find that bringing the team together in an activity away from the office really helps to develop working relationships and communication within the business.

For our recent company away day we kicked things off with a roadmapping session for the new Fuell app (soon to be released) prioritising the exciting new features that are coming to Fuell, and factoring in requirements from our existing users. We like to keep this as open forum, getting thoughts and ideas from the whole team – everything is up for discussion.

Luckily the weather was on our side too, so we could soak up the glorious Bath sunshine by the Royal Victoria Park whilst tucking into some great food at The Hop Pole.

We wouldn’t be who we are if we didn’t do something active, so rounded the day off with Adventure golf. Mixing up the departments across teams, getting juniors to take the lead and whip the seniors into shape – we all had a great day bonding and mainly trying to beat each other around the course!

The benefits of taking time out of your working day to get outside and get moving are endless, not just on our bodies physically but also mentally.

We understand that it’s not easy to get the whole business out and engaged in physical activity – which is why Fuell’s exercise challenges are a great way to get your business moving together – employees can do the exercise in their own time, and still compete and compare their activity with their colleagues in the leaderboards and feeds.

We know it works:

“WOW! Your App has changed my life style! From the first challenge I have embraced the challenge and my average daily steps has risen from 6000 per day to an average of 20000 per day! I love the competition element and would highly recommend Fuell to any individual or company!”

Nigel Ingram, Business Director, Blue Arrow

“It was really great fun and I enjoyed using Fuell! – Very motivating competing against others!”

Sunny Sachania, Investigation Team Lead, Workshare
